Roman Blinds we have fitted in Essex
This is obviously for a themed childs room, Next bedlinen and paper was used, then a real Union Jack was hand sewn to blackout lining to give this unique but functional roman blind.
This a good way to enhance a roman blind,in this example we have put eylets at the top and suspended the blind with tri coloured rope, the edging around the blind compliments the furnishings in the room.
A simple blind with a contrasting pelmet built in.
This blind compliments the swags and tails elsewhere in the room, and is a nice way to dress smaller windows.
D&S Interiors of Essex would like to share with you some pictures of our work so you can see what we do - how many other firms have offered you this?
Excuse the photography as we are specialist blind and curtain installers - not photographers! But we feel these pictures will give you some idea of what we do.
Roller Blinds we have fitted in Essex
This blind has been made from the curtain fabric, by changing direction of stripes on each component an interesting effect has been created.
A great example of how a shaped blind and a carefully shaped valance can work together.
Shutters we have fitted in Essex
As you can see taking pictures of shutters is not easy, these are the largest I have fitted to date, there were two windows each nearly 8 ft square, tier on tier style with 10 doors on each. The apartment is part of a converted building close to the London Eye, despite the size the window was perfectly square, meaning that as the doors were hung, no adjustment was needed.
Curtains we have fitted in Essex
A nice way to mix two colours, very dramatic but simple.
These were fitted in a period property and really made the most of some unusual windows, the walls and frames were not straight which was disguised with the style we chose.
One way to dress a bay window. The curtains will close although the plan is to use the roman blinds more, these have a built in pelmet and are on a chain operated system which is much tidier than cords and makes it simple to align blinds exactly.
Although the fabric had a very simple theme to its design I think the most was made of it with this bold square cut pelmet. The whole pelmet was close to 14 foot wide.
Valance gathered on a metal pole
This silk fabric was ideal for this treatment, the valance was tubed, gathered and stuffed with tissue to maintain its shape, the bay underneath was dressed with soft roman blinds, ie no rods.
Shaped padded Pelmets
I can't take all the credit for these as the pelmets were designed by the customer and made by a colleague of mine, I helped with the fitting of the curtains and rails, one of the best features of this room is the way the coving was fitted to allow the pelmts to start behind it giving a really crisp clean look, the curtains are fitted on the wave system track by silent gliss which adds to the clean lines of the pelmets
